What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Strategic Employment Partners (SEP)?
A growing company in the renewable energy space is looking add a Senior Accountant to their team. You'll be a key contributor in managing financial reporting, general ledger oversight, and supporting tax-related accounting tied to their ITCs and renewable energy transactions. You'll work within a fast-paced environment that processes a high volume of complex transactions — especially around tax equity partnerships and credit transfers — and play an essential part in keeping their operations sharp.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee general ledger accounting and monthly close processes
- Handle complex accounting around investment tax credits and tax equity partnerships
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Finance and FP&A
- Assist with financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Contribute to process improvements as the company scales
Requirements:
- 3–4 years of corporate accounting experience or 2 years of public accounting experience
- Strong foundation in GAAP
- Audit experience highly preferred
- CPA certification highly preferred (or currently pursuing)
- Experience in the renewable or broader energy sector is a plus, but not required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
