An expanding manufacturing company seeks a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations/Supply Chain Manager. This hire will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain, from raw material procurement to finished goods delivery. They will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement efficient strategies across purchasing, warehousing, and logistics. This is a hands-on position with significant growth potential, including managing a team of 4-6 direct reports as they expand their operations in the coming years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Manage all aspects of procurement, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Oversee inventory management, including forecasting, order fulfillment, and warehouse operations.
- Optimize logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, sales, finance) to ensure smooth and seamless operations.
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 direct reports, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Analyze data and generate reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a supply chain, logistics, or operations role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience working with suppliers of manufacturing components and distributors/retailers of finished goods.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in using an ERP system within an operations setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing and utilizing advanced ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite).
- Purchasing or distribution experience with a mid-sized enterprise (>$50 million in revenue).
