A well-established and rapidly growing real estate investment firm located in Aventura, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to oversee all financial aspects of the company. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the EVP. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment in the real-estate or venture capital space.
Responsibilities :
- Specifically manage property accounting, fund accounting and treasury management functions, including but not limited to, property-level P&L analysis, CAM reconciliations, and investor reporting.
- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and management reports.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and best practices.
- Assist in special projects as needed.
