The Role
SEG is seeking a motivated and experienced Energy Management Engineer to join our team as a full-time contributor. This role combines technical expertise with mentorship and training of clients empowering them to integrate energy efficiency into their operations and culture. You’ll identify energy-saving opportunities, support system optimization, and lead SEM initiatives that foster long-term sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
As an Energy Management Engineer, you will:
- Facilitate energy efficiency training programs to guide clients toward adopting sustainable energy management practices.
- Conduct energy systems assessments at client facilities, identifying opportunities to enhance operational and maintenance performance.
- Identify and calculate energy savings opportunities for systems, equipment, and operational improvements.
- Provide ongoing support to clients in integrating energy efficiency into their organizational culture and processes.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking organized and driven individuals who are passionate about helping customers achieve their energy goals. Ideal candidates will have:
- Education:
- Engineering degree, Bachelor of Science in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
- Significant industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree for exceptional candidates.
- Experience:
- 7 years of experience analyzing and developing energy efficiency and retro-commissioning projects for existing building systems and central plants.
- Proven ability to independently manage projects and work collaboratively within a team.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation software.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical audiences.
