Are you a seasoned Commercial HVAC & Controls Technician who enjoys the work but tired of working out of a service truck, constantly running from one service call to the next? Would you like to apply your technical knowledge to support our clients by identifying energy waste in commercial and industrial buildings and training others in the industry’s Best Practices? Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Controls Technician to step into a full-time HVAC&C Energy Technician role. This position focuses on identifying energy efficiency opportunities and improving building performance. You'll assess facilities, recommend best practices, and conduct energy audits to uncover inefficiencies in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. HYour work will also include training and mentoring client staff to adopt energy management best practices. You’ll collaborate with other SEG team members to deliver energy efficiency training programs.
Specific Activities
- Review client facility operations and maintenance practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify energy-saving measures through operations and maintenance Best Practices, capital upgrades, and RCx projects.
- Perform BAS screen reviews and analyze HVAC trend data to uncover hidden inefficiencies.
- Support and consult with clients to implement identified energy-saving opportunities.
- Conduct field performance measurements and collect data on process energy systems.
- Facilitate training programs on energy management best practices.
