Event EMT

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or above to provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in critical situations at special events in the capital region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of emergency medicine and be capable of performing vital assessments and interventions. As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in delivering care at the scene of emergencies on location and prepare them for outside transport

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to provide appropriate medical care.
• Monitor vital signs and perform necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in urgent care settings to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order, ensuring readiness for emergency responses.
• Document patient information accurately and thoroughly for medical records and reporting purposes.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance skills in critical care transport and emergency medicine.

Qualifications

• Valid EMT certification from a recognized program
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and emergency medical procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during patient transfers or equipment handling
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the nature of emergency services we do not mandate providers

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 40 per week
