Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Assessment and Care : Perform comprehensive assessments of patients prior to and during infusion treatments, including reviewing medical histories, assessing vital signs, and evaluating any potential risks associated with the treatment. Address any patient concerns related to the infusion process.
- Infusion Administration : Administer prescribed intravenous therapies such as chemotherapy, antibiotics, pain management drugs, and biologics. Prepare and handle medications according to hospital protocols and safety standards. Monitor the infusion process, adjusting the rate as necessary and ensuring the correct administration technique.
- Monitoring and Safety : Observe and assess patients for any adverse reactions or complications during the infusion, such as allergic responses, infiltration, or phlebitis.
