What will I Learn?
As an Intern at Strategic, you will gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that are focused on supporting our clients’ missions with investment excellence.
We offer an in-depth training program with exposure to the various teams, competencies, and functions throughout the firm, as well as role-specific guidance pertaining to Quantitative Strategy and Investment Risk. The primary focus of the Quantitative Strategy team is the development of innovative approaches to portfolio management and investment research analytics, working closely with our internal engineers and supporting the firm’s broader investment process. The internship program culminates in a meaningful research project, and you will be able share your findings and contributions with our colleagues along with the rest of the intern class in a firm-wide presentation at the end of the summer. Over the course of the program interns will have the following opportunities and responsibilities :
- Work directly with a mentor to assist the team with projects related to :
- the development and maintenance of investment analytics and related internal applications;
- risk management;
- data pipelines and infrastructure;
- potentially supporting investment due diligence functions working with our asset class teams (e.g., public equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, real assets and Other).
- Complete a research project in an assigned investment management or technical subject and present findings to the firm.
- Conduct other projects related to broad array of institutional investment areas.
- Gain the skills and knowledge to become a professional in the investment management industry.
- Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.
