Job Summary:
As a Project Estimator you will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in cost estimation, vendor negotiations, and project forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to develop accurate estimates.
Conduct material, labor, and equipment cost analysis.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine project requirements and constraints.
Solicit and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain cost databases for materials and labor.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and present findings to stakeholders.
Monitor project costs and adjust estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and client expectations.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is a plus.
4 years of experience in project estimation.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
