Job Summary
SMSI is looking for a summer intern to support our Business Operations team in a full-time capacity. The intern will work closely with our HR and Accounting and teams. The intern will benefit from hands-on experience, technical training, mentoring from professional staff, and working within a positive team environment. The internship will run from May of 2025 – August of 2025.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Performing data entry and analysis of trends.
- Performing research for budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Analyzing financial data, reviewing documents and policies for updates and accuracy.
- Providing administrative support as needed.
- Assisting in marketing and advertising promotional activities.
- Developing tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires.
- Monitoring and managing the company’s social media platforms, adjusting outreach tactics as needed.
- Updating our internal databases with new employee information like contact details and employment forms.
- Screening resumes and application forms.

Educational Requirements
Student must be enrolled at an accredited university, with the goal of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in: Communications, Business, Finance/ Accounting, Human Resources, or Marketing. Students must be entering their Junior, or Senior, year in school beginning fall of 2025; or be enrolled in a master’s program for fall of 2025.
