Position Overview :
The Inventory Analyst Supervisor is responsible for optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and overseeing warehouse operations. This leadership role requires an individual who can foster a collaborative team environment, drive process improvements, and provide guidance to team members. The supervisor will also work closely with various departments to ensure timely and accurate inventory management, support operational needs, and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Inventory Management & Optimization
Monitor stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory.
Use historical data to forecast inventory needs and establish optimal stock levels.
Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Conduct regular physical audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Generate and analyze reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies, identifying root causes.
Monitor inventory trends and identify potential risks to the business.
Process Improvement
Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory flow and reduce waste.
Collaborate with warehouse teams to improve picking, receiving, and storage processes.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Partner with Operations and Project Management teams to align inventory levels with business needs.
Communicate inventory issues and discrepancies to management and other teams.
Assist in high-volume shipping and receiving tasks when needed.
Leadership Responsibilities :
Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Delegate tasks effectively to ensure a balanced workload and efficient operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
Qualifications :
Experience : 2-4 years of relevant experience in inventory management or related field.
Education : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Skills :
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); Salesforce experience is a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of inventory principles and best practices.
Ability to generate and analyze reports to identify and address stock shortages and discrepancies.
Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical & Working Conditions :
The role requires standing, sitting, walking, and occasional bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Exposure to moving machinery, temperature fluctuations, and dust.
Position Type / Work Hours :
Full-time, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility for weekend work during high-volume periods.
May require occasional off-hours shipments, including drop-offs at UPS / FedEx after regular pickups.
