We are looking for a SharePoint Developer Contractor with 5 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain a custom SharePoint environment. The contractor will be responsible for building solutions in SharePoint Online, as well as integrating it with Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 tools. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on user experience and modern web design. The successful candidate will also collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the solutions meet organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead requirements gathering, documenting business needs, and translating them into technical designs.
- Design, develop, and customize SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and user interfaces, adhering to modern design principles.
- Implement metadata, taxonomy, and content organization strategies to ensure efficient information retrieval.
- Enhance SharePoint search functionality, performance, and usability.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 tools like Teams, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Develop and maintain custom applications and workflows to meet business needs.
- Provide technical training and support to end-users.
- Ensure SharePoint solutions comply with security, privacy, and governance policies.
- Optimize SharePoint performance for large lists and libraries.
- Prepare detailed documentation and training materials for end users and stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in SharePoint development, including Power Apps and Power Automate, PowerShell.
- Strong experience with SharePoint Online and integration with Microsoft 365.
- Experience with Azure and Office 365 a plus.
- Expertise in building custom SharePoint solutions, including large lists, libraries, and workflows.
- Proficient in JavaScript, PowerShell, and possibly C# for SharePoint development.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint security, permissions, and compliance requirements (e.g., data protection, access control, compliance with regulations). Establish a governance around permissions and data access policies.
- Experience with SharePoint migration projects, especially from Confluence.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders,.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
