The SharePoint Specialist will be working in an organization where collaboration, together with best practice document, data and knowledge management are key elements of it’s operations and SharePoint is a key technology being used to address these needs. The candidate will have demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the duties and key responsibilities and working within a small will be essential for the role to make a strong, hands on contribution.
- Key expertise in the security aspect of SharePoint, to set up interface pages like an intranet, but safekeeping access for specific audiences. The security piece is more about the sharing or editing capabilities along with visibility to certain content.
The Role
The SharePoint Specialist will take responsibility for all aspects of the design, architecture, development, deployment, operations, administration, training and support of key SharePoint infrastructure and business solutions
Duties and Key Responsibilities
Business Analyst o Understand the Institute’s collaboration, workflow, data and document management requirements and opportunities.
Architect / Solution Designer
Project Manager
Developer o Lead development and deployment of SharePoint solutions to meet identified requirements, engaging and managing developer resources as required.
Support Specialist o Provide expert user support and guidance, as required.
Governance Lead o Drive best practice usage and compliance with policy and audit requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Degree qualification in a relevant discipline is essential. Microsoft SharePoint training and certification would be highly desirable.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business analysis and technical architecture roles in complex business environments.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated strong problem solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, training, presentation and public speaking.
Demonstrated, quality focussed, track record of successful projects.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing organisational priorities and ambiguous environments.
Ability to research and quickly assimilate relevant new technologies, concepts, architectures and features is essential.
