SRI is seeking committed and passionate professionals to provide critical Regional Work and Family Life (WFL) Support Services to the Navy’s Fleet and Family Support Programs (FFSPs) designed to maximize the wellbeing of active duty, retirees, civilians (OCONUS) and their families.

Overview: We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional Work and Family Life (WFL) Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves coordinating and managing multiple site adult education and social service programs across the region, with a focus on Work and Family Life Programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in adult education or social sciences, combined with experience in program management and coordination. Tasks and Responsibilities: As the Regional Work and Family Life (WFL) Support Specialist, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing standardized curriculum and program guidance across the region. You will participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts, ensuring that programs are both effective and relevant. Additionally, you will assess the effectiveness of existing programs, recommend improvements, and provide training to ensure that all Work and Family Life services are delivered at the highest standards. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the consistent and efficient delivery of support services throughout the region.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze regulations affecting Work and Family Life (WFL) Programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement standardized curriculum and program guidance for WFL services across the region.
  • Coordinate with the Regional FFSP Program Manager on marketing plans and campaigns for WFL Programs.
  • Participate in emergency response exercises and implement emergency response plans when necessary.
  • Serve as a Master Trainer for the region, providing 'train the trainer' sessions for various programs including Certified Ombudsman trainers, suicide prevention, and Deployment and Mobilization Support.
  • Assess the effectiveness of WFL Programs using both quantitative and qualitative methods, and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Facilitate FFSP participation in public awareness campaigns such as Ready Navy.
  • Prepare and conduct management briefings on training, exercises, and program effectiveness.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and coordination of multiple site adult education and social service programs across the region.
  • Lead the training and development of staff responsible for delivering WFL Programs, ensuring consistency and high-quality service delivery.

  • Emergency Response: Experience in participating in and implementing emergency response plans.

Required Education And Experience

  • Master’s degree in adult education, social science, or a related field, OR a combination of graduate education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree, OR six years of equivalent experience in adult education, social science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing and coordinating multiple site adult educational or social service programs.
  • Experience in emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Strong understanding of Work and Family Life Programs and the ability to develop effective educational curriculum and program guidance.
