As a State Funeral Honors Program Manager, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Military Funeral Honors functions and requirements. You will provide general planning, coordination, and budget analysis to the State Military Authority. Additionally, you will maintain access, conduct reviews, identify trends, and analyze Veteran and Military Funeral Honors State data to identify needs and properly guide, advise, and recommend courses of action related to the program.

Job Description
As a State Funeral Honors Program Manager, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert on Military Funeral Honors functions and requirements. You will provide general planning, coordination, and budget analysis to the State Military Authority. Additionally, you will maintain access, conduct reviews, identify trends, and analyze Veteran and Military Funeral Honors State data to identify needs and properly guide, advise, and recommend courses of action related to the program.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates, plans, and develops statewide operations for the Military Funeral Honors Program.
- Develops and implements policies, SOPs, and objectives for the Military Funeral Honors Program in coordination with the ARNG Program Manager and/or State/Territory Military Authority.
- Ensures all Accreditation Process, Policies and Procedures are followed for Veteran Service Organizations (VSO) and provides complete quality control of pay allowances, reimbursement, and stipends as required for VSO and National Guard member participation for State Military Authority approval and submission.
Requirements
- Must have served or currently serving with the military or supported the military in some capacity.
- Must possess the knowledge of applicable military regulations, policies, and directives pertaining to MFH ceremonies.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.
