Job Description:
The Uniform Issue Clerk is responsible for managing uniform distribution, inventory control, and returns at the FLETC Charleston Complex. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all students and staff receive properly issued training uniforms, while maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring compliance with sanitation and tracking procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the distribution and collection of physical training uniforms for students and staff.
- Ensure accurate inventory tracking and maintain proper stock levels.
- Handle uniform exchanges, returns, and locker assignments.
- Process and document Daily Issue Cards for temporary uniform use.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas for uniform inventory.
- Adhere to sanitation protocols when handling used uniforms.
- Assist in resolving student and staff uniform concerns.
- Submit monthly inventory reports and notify management of any shortages or missing items.
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in uniform distribution, inventory control, or logistics support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and computerized tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move uniform inventory (up to 30 lbs.) as needed.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required.
