Unarmed Security Guard Patrol for Jail Facility

Strategic Security (SSC) is a nationwide leading provider of security guard services, executive protection, bomb dog, intelligence, consulting, investigative services. SSC has a job opportunity for Full-time/Part-time Unarmed Security Guards in Atlanta, GA.

The following position will be paid at a rate of $18.00/hr. We will be looking for Unarmed Security Guards to service two shifts Saturday and Sunday 6:45am-7pm & 6:45pm-7:00am.

Must pass a background check for employment.

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking dedicated and vigilant Unarmed Security Guards to join our team responsible for maintaining security within the control towers of our jail facility. As an integral part of our security team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and order of the facility by monitoring and controlling access, observing inmate behavior, and responding to potential security threats.

**Responsibilities:**

• - Monitor and control access points to the jail facility from the control tower, verifying identification and credentials of personnel entering or exiting.
• - Observe and report inmate activities, behavior, and any suspicious or unauthorized incidents to supervisors and appropriate authorities.
• - Utilize surveillance equipment, including cameras and communication systems, to maintain a constant watch over various areas of the facility.
• - Collaborate closely with fellow security personnel, correctional officers, and staff to promptly address any potential security breaches or emergencies.
• - Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities and incidents occurring during your shift.
• - Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
• - Perform routine checks of equipment, ensuring all surveillance systems are functioning correctly and reporting any malfunctions to maintenance.
• - Assist in the enforcement of facility rules and regulations, ensuring compliance from both inmates and staff.
• - Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay up-to-date with security protocols, emergency response techniques, and relevant legal requirements.
• - Uphold the highest level of professionalism, maintaining a courteous and respectful demeanor at all times when interacting with inmates, staff, and visitors.

**Qualifications:**

• - High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• - Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• - Ability to pass a thorough background check, including criminal history and drug screening.
• - Strong observational and situational awareness skills.
• - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• - Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• - Basic computer skills to operate surveillance equipment and maintain electronic records.
• - Physical stamina to stand, walk, and monitor screens for extended periods.
• - Adherence to ethical and moral standards in line with the responsibilities of working in a correctional environment.

**Working Conditions:**

• - This position involves working in a controlled indoor environment within a jail facility's control tower.
• - Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• - The job may involve exposure to stressful or emotionally charged situations.

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a State licensing test if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle.
• Pass and possess a State Licensed Unarmed Security Guard Card / License if required by you State / City / Locality.

Experience Required Verifiable work history if previously employed and must possess one or more of the following:

• Graduate of an accredited high school or a Certificate of Completion of General Education Development requirements; and meet one of the following experience / education requirements:
• Experience of 1 to 2 years as a security guard strongly preferred
