Job Description
Join our team at Strategic Sight Consulting LLC for an opportunity as a Technical Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Analyst experienced with aircraft design, test and integration of electromechanical components and subassemblies. The esteemed candidate will reserve engineer and troubleshoot UASs and payloads according to customer requirements. You will be afforded the opportunity to demonstrate attention to detail, acute observation skills, analytical skills.
Responsibilities and Background
- Evaluate threat systems by reverse engineering UAS platforms and component electronics to identify to understand their capabilities.
- Provide technical data and develop technical and analytical written products in support of CUAS studies.
- Apply your engineering experience to assist with verifying UAS related commercial off the shelf (COTS) products.
- Perform technical UAS research in unclassified and classified databases for technical written products.
- Apply your logistical, electrical, and technical experience, to perform aircraft system repairs and document work performed.
- Maintain paces with the rapidly evolving UAS public sector and identify and report on new commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS), custom devices for test consideration and UAS technological trends.
- Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using precision tools, calibrated hand tools, and power tools. Install electromechanical, and electronic parts, using precision tools, calibrated hand tools, and power tools.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI.
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering plus 9 years of experience in the field.
- Proficient understanding of using engineering tools to document and manage project requirements.
- Experience with assembly and disassembly of UAS.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate circuitry at the component level, and produce technical reports.
- Ability to document differences between the same COTS products.
- Experience in schematic circuit analysis.
- Experience in troubleshooting UAS systems.
- Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills as well as briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences.
- Proven ability to work within tight timelines with high-quality output.
- Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Sincere commitment to working collaboratively with all constituent groups (members, staff, etc.).
- Extreme attention to detail; takes pride in and ownership of work and can manage projects from concept through launch with very little supervision.
- Proven critical thinker who makes appropriate decisions and finds solutions easily.
Desired Qualifications
- Work history with the Department of Defense and/or Defense Industry concerning technical UAS related work.
- Ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences in the Department of Defense or Defense Industry,
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or currently studying towards a Master's in Electrical Engineering.
