Senior Software Engineer

Strategic Solutions Group LLC, Senior Software Engineer (Needham, MA)

Responsible for supporting public health and public safety IT solutions projects requiring a significant amount of test automation and custom product configuration. Duties include:

• Designing and developing cloud-native applications and web applications using Java and other web technologies.
• Designing applications using Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices Architecture, Serverless architecture and N-tier architecture.
• Developing applications using Object Oriented Analysis and reusable Design patterns.
• Developing application database in a RDBMS and including tuning SQL queries with complex business logic.
• Performing peer-review of developers code, unit testing, functional testing, and deploy code to production environment.
• Debugging production issues and implementing fixes in the system.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Systems Security or a closely-related IT field plus 5 years’ experience in a Software Engineer/Developer role implementing and analyzing software solutions.

Must have experience (can be gained concurrently with above) in the following:

5 Years’ Experience

• Using Java to design and implement cloud-native applications.
• Designing applications using Service Oriented Architecture, Microservices Architecture, Serverless architecture and N-tier architecture.
• Utilizing Groovy, Jhipster, and Flowable.
• Writing efficient SQL queries with complex business logic in SQL Server or Oracle.
• Analyzing user requirement and converting that into software design and solutions.
• Working with SCRUM and AGILE methodologies.
  
  

3 years’ experience in Utilizing J2EE, Spring, Maven and Hibernate

Position is fully remote, with ability to work from anywhere in the U.S.
