What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Strategic Spaces?
The Project Manager owns the implementation and execution of a project including the pre-order/sales, order entry, installation, and closeout. The Project Manager must be able to manage multiple projects during various stages and track orders, provide schedules and updates, and handle installations while working with internal and external teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Thorough understanding of the project’s scope of work
· Work with installers to provide a labor estimate to the client
· Conduct site visits to check field conditions and critical dimensions
· Coordinate project needs with general contractors, electricians, data and AV techs, etc.
· Participate in project meetings with internal and external partners
· Responsible for reviewing specs with the internal project team prior to order entry
· Track ship dates for ordered product; issue status reports to project team
· Schedule and communicate all deliveries and installations to the appropriate parties
· Prepare installation packages with the design team for the lead installer
· Coordinate and lead internal project status meetings
· Manage the delivery and installation; resolve punch list items
Skill Sets:
· High skill set in customer service and customer satisfaction
· Must be able to effectively provide detail communication by using a variety of tools i.e., emails, phone calls, meetings, spreadsheets and schedules
· Able to read and understand architectural drawings, RFP packages, budgets, and shop drawings
· Must be able to clearly, confidently, professionally and proactively handle clients and partners
· Must be able to set clear deadlines, expectations, and follow up
· Must be detail oriented and well organized
· Able to quickly pivot and problem solve complex issues
· Effective in a team environment
Education/Experience:
· 3 years of project management experience required; furniture industry experience preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Proficient in MS Office Suite
· Emanage or other furniture quoting software
