Job Description
The Energy Systems Specialist will be responsible for leading energy efficiency initiatives and improving the overall sustainability of our operations.
This role will involve working closely with plant personnel to develop and implement strategies for reducing energy consumption, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing solutions to maximize non-capital energy savings.
- Develop and maintain baseline information on key energy parameters (i.e., Compressed Air, Lighting, Building Envelope, HVAC)
- Perform detailed utility bill analyses to identify opportunities for more efficient operation
- Conduct periodic energy audits to determine energy cost savings opportunities and report progress
Key Responsibilities
- Launch and sustain an energy awareness campaign to raise energy awareness in the plant
- Prepare and maintain a plant energy team consisting of appropriate personnel within the plant
- Monitor, review, and recommend participation in federal, state, and local energy conservation initiatives and programs
