Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for an Infrastructure engineer (middleware) for a W2 contract opportunity with one of our largest clients!
Candidates should be willing to work on our W2 ONLY, No c2c,
Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Middleware Integration/IBM MQ)
Role Type: W2 only
Duration: 12 months
Location: Chandler, AZ/Minneapolis, MN/Dallas, TX
Schedule: Onsite
W2 hourly rate: Upto 60$
Key kills and level of experience:
- Middleware (IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker (ACE/IIB), KAFKA, Solace) Administration performing activities build, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, deployment, configuration, patching and compliance
- Middleware Production Support in Linux and Windows platform
Summary:
Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Infrastructure Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Infrastructure Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Infrastructure Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering.
Required Qualifications: 4 years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
Required Skills:
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including leadership.
- Strong team or technical leadership experience Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- 12 years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 8 years of hands-on experience at scale on Middleware (IBM MQ, IBM Message Broker (ACE/IIB), KAFKA, Solace) administration performing activities build, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; deployment; configuration; patching; and compliance.
- 8 years of experience in middleware production support in Linux and Windows platforms.
- Experience in configuring MQ Queue Managers and troubleshooting issues involving MQ Clusters.
- Creating, configuring, and maintaining MQ Objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners, topics
- Good understanding of MQ monitoring tools like IR360
Desired Qualifications:
Strong team or technical leadership experience
Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment.
Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area.
Provide implementation support for key risk initiatives.
Experience with IBM MQ on zOS, zLinux, AIX is a plus
Experience with IBM MQ Appliance
Understanding Incident Management System (ServiceNow preferred)
Monitoring alerts, batch failures, and the Service Now Queue.
Handle outage calls efficiently, triage any issues, and fix them.
Experience in Ansible, and UDeploy
Experience with types of Jobs Failures and Troubleshooting
Shell Commands
Linux Administration Basics
Basic Networking Commands
Understanding the Networking topology, Load Balancers such as F5/AVI.
Troubleshooting Basic Java Application Servers issues.
