Title : Senior Software Developer
Location : Detroit, MI Hybrid (3 days onsite T,W,T)
Duration : 12 Months
Role Type : W2 contract engagement
Senior Software Developer :
Application / Software Developers are involved in the full system life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application / integrating software solutions that are delivered on time and within budget.
Job Responsibilities :
- Works closely with clients, business analysts and application team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and are in compliance with the organization's architectural standards.
- Application / Software Developers are involved in the full system life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting application / integrating software solutions that are delivered on time and within budget.
- Responsibilities beyond development of software may include participation in component and data architecture design, technology planning, product evaluation, advanced testing processes and buy vs. build recommendations. Individuals also provide input to project plans related to the Application Development initiative.
- Candidate will work in design, build (or enhance) and support applications and services that provide integration solutions between critical vendor products, other business applications and technologies. Must possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills as well as good oral and written communication skills. Candidate will work in a collaborative team setting.
- Bachelor's degree & 6 years of experience, OR an associate degree or certifications (equivalent to 2 years) & 8 years of experience, OR a high school diploma or GED, & 10 years related experience.
Required :
Experienced in ESB implementations.
Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) Technology - building scalable SOA / Services using :
Expertise in Web service implementations.
Experience in various HTTP and API implementations.
Strong knowledge in working with Web services and API Management concepts and fundamentals (REST, XML / JSON, SOAP, XSLT).
Strong experience in SOA and client server architecture.
Expertise in Web implementations.
User Interface Design knowledge and experience.
WebSphere and Web Logic.
Git Hub and Clear Case.
ETL and Business Objects.
Strong experience in SQL, Oracle, and Data Mapping.
Experience in Security, TLS, LDAP, AD.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in Monitoring and Alerting tools / mechanisms.
Batch programming.
Data Migrations and Conversions.
Ability to create design artifacts (such as sequence diagrams, class models, data flow diagrams)
Preferred :
Experience in Utilities domain.
Experience in F5.
Experience in HA and DR.
Experience in Cloud technologies.
