What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Mechanic (Government Maintenance) position at Strategic Support Solutions?
Strategic Support Solutions is seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics to fill government aircraft maintenance positions in Greenville, SC. Second shift positions will receive $5 per hour shift differential.
Successful candidates will receive one month of lodging and a $500 bonus after 6 months of employment.
Primary Duties:
- Inspect parts, systems, and airframe as part of routine scheduled maintenance
- Perform diagnostic tests to determine necessary repairs
- Repair defective or malfunctioning aircraft parts and systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose potential repairs outside of regularly scheduled maintenance
Minimum Experience & Education
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an Airframe and Powerplant license with a minimum of 3 years of related aviation experience in one of the following or similar airframes:
- Citation 560XL
- King Airs
- Be able to perform assigned tasks in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and the Inspections Procedures Manual with little or no direct supervision
- Have the minimum required tools to perform assigned work
- Be able to pass a basic aircraft maintenance knowledge test
- Be able to pass a basic practical test (required for Sheet Metal positions)
- High School degree or equivalent required.

- This position is covered under Federal Aviation Regulations in regard to unescorted access to Security Identification Display Areas. Applicants are subject to employment verification and, possibly, an FBI criminal history records check.
