Strategic Support Solutions is currently seeking an On-site Project Manager (Junior) for a potential contract as a member of the Site Management Team and assisting the Senior Program Manager in leading a team of technically capable personnel performing aircraft maintenance on USCG aircraft, GSE, sheet metal, avionics equipment, ALSE, upholstery, and various other aircraft parts and components.
The On-Site Project Manager (Junior) will support the day-to-day operations of the contractor workforce and be an integral part of the management team ensuring a properly staffed, qualified workforce has all the necessary resources available to them to enable successful performance of all aviation maintenance actions while providing support of all contract requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day management of the aviation maintenance workforce to ensure staffing levels are accurate, personnel are properly qualified, and the priority levels of the tasks are properly assigned.
- Ensure contractor employees complete all mandatory training requirements as required by the contract.
- Assist the program manager in consistently tracking all contract deliverables.
- Ensure appropriate Quality Control measures are established and maintained throughout the entire contract period.
- Participate in regular meetings with Government program officials in the absence of the Senior Project Manager. Report on the status and progress of work and monitor work in process.
- Monitor and analyze performance data and report results to the Senior Project Manager for further discussions prior to submission to the government.
- Complete the ALC check in / orientation check out processes for all newly reporting employees to ensure they each have a thorough understanding of their job requirements and how quality, safety, and compliance play a pivotal role in what they do each day. working on the contract.
- Assist in the management of the contract by organizing, directing, coordinating and implementing all activities related to the contract.
Required Experience, Training & Certifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ Project Management experience and knowledge of industrial processes.
- Proficient personal computer skills to include strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma.
Required Security Clearance Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a US Citizen and pass a background check with the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
