Strategic Support Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager for a potential contract to provide personnel, technical capability, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to perform Aircraft Maintenance Services on aircraft, Ground Support Equipment, sheet metal, avionics equipment, ALSE, upholstery, and various other aircraft parts and components used by the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The Senior Program Manager will oversee operations for the potential contract.
The Senior Program Manager will be a supervisory employee with management responsibility and full authority to supervise and manage personnel and to make decisions regarding contract challenges and employee performance. This individual will be responsible for planning, controlling, managing, and successfully completing all assigned work.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Holds full authority to act on behalf of the company for all matters relating to the contract and daily operations.
- Efficiently manage the allocation of resources to support all maintenance efforts.
- Effectively implement and maintain a Safety Plan that includes routine surveillance ensuring strict compliance with appropriate laws
- Track and maintain accurate data concerning available hours for overtime and regular working hours for the Navy Conversion Project and PDM.
- Oversee the management of personnel to ensure the timely completion of Navy Conversion aircraft.
- Ensure all subcontractors and employees strictly adhere to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and follow all applicable state, local, and ALC directives.
- Maintain a work environment free from discrimination, including harassment, of any kind, so that the workforce is treated with respect, without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, or sex.
- Lead the efforts of the team made up of multiple labor categories by organizing, directing, coordinating, and implementing all contractual activities.
- Work closely with the Quality Management Team to ensure the Quality Control Program is organizationally embedded into all aspects of how the team executes operationally.
- Supervise contractor staff to include addressing personnel issues, generating assignments and setting priorities.
- Interact and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Government program officials regarding operational issues and status of tasks.
- Provide daily attendance reports (PTO and call out) within one (1) hour of shift start.
- Attend weekly full-kit and production meetings as well as daily morning task meetings.
- The site supervisor is responsible for ensuring the new hire orientation is complete along with ALC familiarization tour.
- Coordinate all financial and staffing resource analysis actions to ensure adequate funding and manpower are available to support the varying operational workload.
- Monitor and analyze performance data and report results to the Government.
- Ensure employees complete all mandatory training requirements.
- Review and validate employee timesheets.
Required Experience, Training & Certifications:
Minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory position.
- Shall have ten (10) years’ experience and knowledge of aircraft overhaul trades and labor work.
- Shall possess a working knowledge of OSHA requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, attention to detail and oral communication skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills to include a strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Security Clearance Eligibility:
- Applicant must be a US Citizen and pass a background check with the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
