Company Overview:
Strategic Talent Partners has been retained by our client, a leader in dispute resolution, to hire an Operations Counsel to lead their New Jersey office and programs. Our client manages arbitration programs for PIP.
Reporting to the Director of NJ Arbitrations, the Operations Counsel will oversee and manage NJ office relationships and operations, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity for an attorney looking to develop their career in people/operations leadership while maintaining work-life balance. The role will start off managing an arbitration caseload to learn proper procedures and be able to best support the team.
This is a 5 day/week in-office position, with opportunity for hybrid (3 days a week) after the initial training and onboarding period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end processing of NJ No-Fault cases, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to rules.
- Oversee and support administrative and case coordinator staff, ensuring effective performance, workload distribution, and adherence to company policies.
- Provide legal guidance on arbitration procedures and compliance.
- Maintain strong relationships with the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance (DOBI).
- Oversee case metrics and quality control to drive operational improvements.
- Utilize technology to optimize arbitration processes and workflow efficiency.
- Train and support Dispute Resolution Professionals (DRPs).
- Handle legal matters such as subpoenas, litigation reports, and regulatory submissions.
Skills and Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) & active NJ Law License required.
- 5-7 years in arbitration, legal services, or insurance law (PIP preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of the NJ No-Fault Rules.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and compliance management skills.
- Excellent communication and ability to interpret complex policies and procedures.
- Tech-savvy with experience in case management systems and process automation.
