Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled  Senior Engineer, Prototype & Manufacturing  to support Government operations in manufacturing, prototyping, and engineering investigations related to Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE). The successful candidate will apply engineering theory and principles to industrial layouts and manufacturing production while ensuring efficiency and quality. This position is in support of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) systems, subsystems, and component testing at the Naval Air Warfare Center Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) Prototype, Manufacturing and Test Department (PMTD), aboard ship, and other naval activities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide support for site setup, test operations, reconfiguration, and technical investigations.
• Design and fabricate test instrumentation for ALRE feasibility verification.
• Perform technical analysis, data acquisition, and documentation of results.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment / material failures and propose corrective solutions.
• Review engineering documentation for completeness and recommend improvements.
• Develop, review, and update technical manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Manufacture proof-of-principle, prototype, and production equipment.
• Support ALRE and SE system installations, modifications, and improvements.
• Develop and support electronic manufacturing processes, including printed wiring board assemblies.
• Conduct acceptance test procedures and metrology activities.
• Prepare engineering documentation for procurement of ALRE and SE systems.
• Provide support for quality assurance, ISO-9001 compliance, and production project management.
• Facilitate engineering investigations, inspections, and deficiency report analysis.
• Manage and analyze program progress, expenditures, and scheduling using J.E.D.I. systems.
• Train personnel in production workflow tracking and associated PMTD processes.
• Coordinate with QA, engineering, and production teams to optimize workflows and resolve technical challenges.
• Research and provide technical information on manufacturing processes, methods, and materials.
• Perform civil engineering investigations related to facility improvements and renovations.
• Support government personnel in scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating renovations and repairs.
