Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking an experienced Senior Task Manager to support the U.S. Navy’s Surface TYCOM mission. The Senior Task Manager will be critical in providing technical, programmatic, and administrative support for TYCOM’s Surface Fleet maintenance, modernization, and life cycle planning. This role requires deep expertise in surface, submarine, or aircraft carrier maintenance and modernization efforts, ensuring the successful execution of Class Maintenance Plans (CMP), maintenance strategies, and streamlining processes that support the Fleet and NAVSEA’s priorities.
As a Senior Task Manager, you will lead efforts to optimize the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process while collaborating closely with senior government officials to ensure the continued modernization and maintenance of in-service ships. We are seeking for candidates who can work in either Norfolk, VA or San Diego, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight in the planning, execution, and modernization of surface ship maintenance and lifecycle management processes.
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of Class Maintenance Plans (CMP) aligned with fleet and NAVSEA priorities.
- Act as the Senior AWPM at TYCOM facilities, supervising and managing teams responsible for maintenance and modernization efforts.
- Collaborate with Senior Executive Service (SES) and Flag-level personnel to ensure program success.
- Coordinate and oversee the execution of strategies that enhance maintenance processing and support surface ship Expected Service Life (ESL) goals.
- Travel to various TYCOM locations as required to meet with senior stakeholders and ensure program alignment.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in DoD/Navy program management, technical management, or business management in industry or government.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience leading teams and overseeing complex projects.
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in a related field (e.g., marine engineering, industrial engineering, maintenance management, or other maritime-related fields) OR at least 10 years of specialized experience in the related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in surface, submarine, or aircraft carrier maintenance and modernization planning and execution.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active SECRET clearance.
- Open to traveling to different TYCOM facilities and sites as required to support program objectives.
- Expertise in Navy surface fleet maintenance processes and lifecycle engineering.
- Experience working with senior government leadership and key stakeholders in the defense industry.
- This role is contingent on contract award.
