Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Engineer, Test Site Senior to provide essential engineering and project management support for the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) systems at NAWCADLKE. This position will involve work with the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS), Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG), and legacy recovery systems, and support test operations, prototyping, manufacturing, and system evaluations. The Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing test and development projects, managing testing facilities, and providing engineering assistance for test site complex infrastructure. The purpose of this contract is to support Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) systems, subsystems, and component testing at the Naval Air Warfare Center Division Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) Prototype, Manufacturing and Test Department (PMTD), aboard ship, and other naval activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering and project management support for EMALS, AAG, and legacy recovery system testing, including managing and executing test and development projects using deadloads and jet cars.
- Support the design, construction, and post-construction outfitting of test site facilities and the Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
- Oversee and coordinate test activities at the test site complex, including the ship motion platform, jet car track site, and Runway Arrested Landing Site (RALS).
- Provide engineering assistance for the development and troubleshooting of EMALS fire control systems, hydraulic power units, test site process water systems, and nose gear launch systems.
- Perform test site certification for shipboard systems aboard CVN 78/79 and lead troubleshooting efforts as needed.
- Support the preparation, installation, and commissioning of ALRE and SE systems, including detailed technical analysis and documentation.
- Provide expertise in the operation, installation, and maintenance of test instrumentation and equipment.
- Required Education: Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 10 years engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of experience with EMALS/AAG and legacy recovery system test requirements and facilities processes, including prototyping, manufacturing, testing, repair, and overhaul.
- Extensive experience managing, planning, and executing test and development projects utilizing deadloads and jet cars.
- In-depth knowledge of EMALS fire control systems, test site process water systems, hydraulic power units, and nose gear launch systems.
- Proven ability to support Capital Improvement Program (CIP) design efforts, construction, and post-construction outfitting and commissioning.
- Ability to travel aboard CVN 78/79 for EMALS/AAG shipboard certification and troubleshooting efforts.
- Strong background in industrial layout, manufacturing production, and engineering principles.
- Experience with test site operations, including the use of jet cars and deadloads in development and certification efforts.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and execute complex engineering projects in a test site environment.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively interface with engineering teams, management, and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Familiarity with the J.E.D.I. (Job Execution and Data Information) system and its integration into engineering workflows.
- Experience with QA verification activities, including working with technical specifications, inspections, and monitoring testing activities.
- Ability to perform on-site work and potentially travel to shipboard locations.
- Ability to work in environments with physical demands, including lifting and moving equipment as needed.
