SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Five (5) years of experience in Navy engineering and software development to include design, development, test and evaluation, lifetime support maintenance, configuration management, verification and validation, systems integration, and tactical training.
The Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) provides Computer Aided Sub mode Training (CAST). The CAST consists of CAST Open Architecture Suite (COAST),and CAST lessoning United States Navy(USN), United States Coast Guard (USCG), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) display consoles to support individual sub-mode training across the SCSTC training domain and respective fleet units. The COAST and CAST presently supports AEGIS Baselines 71R through the current Destroyer Modernization, Aegis Destroyer FLT III, Aegis Ashore Team Trainer (AATT), and new construction fielding plans to include but not limited to the Frigate (FFG), and the Integrated Combat System (ICS). Support also includes lesson updates in legacy authoring systems such as CAST Lesson Authoring System (CLASS) in support of FMS baselines. The SCSTC also provides the USN AEGIS Baselines, Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) SQQ systems, Ships Self Defense Systems (SSDS), C5I Systems, and Integrated Combat Systems (ICS) platform maintenance and operator training through the Surface Training Advanced Virtual Environment (STAVE) program. The STAVE program utilizes Instructor Led training (including Geographically Dispersed STAVE Laboratories), High Fidelity 3DSimulators, 3D Reconfigurable Training Systems, Hands-on Lab Part Task Trainers (PTT) and 3D Virtual Reality Simulations.
