BRIEF STRATEGIC FAMILY THERAPIST (BSFT)
Strategic Therapy Associates is seeking a Resident in Counseling with family-based clinical training and experience to learn and implement Brief Strategic Family Therapy with clients, providing mental health counseling services to adolescents and their families. The BSFT Model is a top-researched community-based intervention model to treat families with children and adolescents ages 6-17 who present with various conduct problems. The company will pay the cost to certify the right candidate for the position (value over $1600) and may provide free clinical supervision toward professional licensure for Residents in Counseling or Supervisees in Social Work!

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Brief Strategic Family Therapist manages a caseload of approximately 8 families with children between the ages of 6-18 diverted from family court, conducting a combination of home, office and telehealth mental health services. The position requires flexibility in hours to be able to meet with families when they are available or in need of intervention, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The BSFT must complete all service-related documentation in accordance with governing regulations, agency standards, and the BSFT evidence-based practice standards, collaborate with other agency and community support services, and participate in regular supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified candidates will be registered (or eligible to register) as Resident in Counseling (LMHP-R), or a Supervisee in Social Work (LMHP-S) with the Virginia Board of Health Professions. We will also consider candidates who are registered as QMHP-C and have 5 years of experience with children and families. *Conditions apply, and licensure supervision is offered to masters-level staff at Strategic working in the intensive in-home program and is based on supervisor availability and after a period of employment (as determined by the director) in which the potential "resident" has been observed in clinical skill and in interactions in regular clinical supervision.
