Strategy Engineering is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Structural Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Structural Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design, construction, and maintenance of various structures, with a particular emphasis on steel, concrete, and earthworks. The ideal candidate will have extensive onshore and offshore experience in the field of structural engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of structural engineers, providing guidance and technical expertise in the design and analysis of structures
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of structural engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and industry standards
- Manage Structural Engineering Department resources, technical input and deliverables on each project
- Define requirements for design of various structural components for offshore structures
- Develop SACS model as req
- Review and evaluate project proposals, plans, and specifications to identify design requirements and potential challenges
- Develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for structural design, including the use of advanced analysis techniques and software
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring proper implementation of structural engineering principles
- Collaborate with other departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural designs within overall project requirements
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with structural engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in structural engineering, particularly in the areas of steel, concrete, and earthworks
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the structural engineering team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; advanced degree preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on steel, concrete, and earthworks
- Proficiency in structural engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD and SACS
- Strong knowledge of relevant engineering codes and standards, including ACI, AISC, and ASCE
- Proven experience in managing and leading multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering projects
- Extensive experience in the design, analysis, and construction of onshore and offshore structures
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members
- Strong project management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively
