The City of Stratford is located on the crossroads of US HWY 287 & US HWY 54 in the Texas panhandle. Stratford has a population of approximately 2100, the two large highways intersect within city limits. Stratford Police Department is looking for a proactive officer to fill the patrolman position. With 2 major highways it is a perfect for an officer looking for highway and criminal interdiction.

Job Requirements:
-Knowledge of criminal investigations, report writing and criminal law.
-Computer literacy and extensive knowledge with multiple computer platforms and systems.
-High School Education or GED
-TCOLE Basic Peace Officer Certification
-Valid Texas Driver’s license
-Ability to pass a background investigation
-Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
The selected candidate MUST be licensed to work as a peace officer in the State of Texas, and residency within the City Limits is required.
