It allows the teacher to lay a musical foundation for students to become lifelong appreciators of all types of music. Music teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and integrate the core knowledge curriculum within the music program, such as music history. You will be working with elementary age students.You will alsoPlan, supervise, and implement curriculum for our Elementary classroomsCollaborate with other faculty and staff membersPlay piano for classroom performancesAssist teachers with the use of rhythm instrumentsIntroduce students to the piano, specificallyWhat We Are Looking ForA bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited college or universityPiano proficiency and sight reading expertise requiredPrior teaching experience with students is preferred To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
