Job Description Justification:
The Legacy system Administrator runs system processes, maintenance, integrations, and data imports and outputs in the Integrated Property Information System (IPIS). The system Administrator ensures that the system is functioning well and keeps the system running to allow the Real Estate Services (RES) users to:
- Generate monthly statements for our tenants
- Import and track payment information
- Maintain lease information up to date
- Tracking property acquisitions and dispositions
- Run reports to manage lease expirations and options
- Maintain and run Charter Space Use information
- Track Mortgage payments
- Manage tenant lease applications
- Manage and track enforcements
- Generate reports
- Track Charter Space Use
The RES Staff relies on the data and system functionality to run critical operations, including revenue collection and tracking, payment tracking, and critical processes to manage the Real Estate portfolio.
The new resource will maintain the current legacy systems and support the transition to modern, secure, and widely used technologies that will replace them. The current technology that will be replaced includes CRM Dynamics, SharePoint, and Archibus.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Under the IT leadership, the Sr. System Administrator will be responsible for the maintenance of the current IPIS mainframe systems, support the management of data and processes to ensure system is operational for all users, Support the extracting of data as text files from mainframe applications using various programs, Conduct data transport from Mainframe to Windows server text files using UC4 file transfer, and Load data into CRM/Dynamics 365 from SQL servers, troubleshoot any system feature issues, and processes to ensure ongoing system operation. Candidate is to also support the transition from mainframe legacy system to new acres system by collaborating with internal resources, consultants and business users to ensure a smooth transition into new system. Candidate will participate in system analysis, system design, and requirements sessions as needed.
TASKS
Under the IT leadership, the Sr. System Administrator will be responsible for managing the maintenance of the current IPIS mainframe legacy systems to ensure Candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Provide system maintenance and administration for current IPIS mainframe applications.
• Support the development of new features and transitioning into new systems.
• Support the extracting of data as text files from mainframe applications using the following:
- ADABAS- IPIS, Natural- IPIS, CICS- TAS, MAS, COBOL- TAS, MAS, VSAM and flat fileso IBM utilities (IDCAMS, SORT, File Manager) -to see what is in the files.
- JCL- to run the programs, compile programs to extract MAS data.
- TSO- mainframe development environment- program in here.
• Conduct data transport from Mainframe to Windows server text files using UC4 file transfer
• Load data into CRM/Dynamics 365 from SQL servers.
- SQL server o SQL server management studio
- SQL queries o SQL server integration services
- Kingsway soft data tools – can be quickly learned by a developer knowledgeable in integration services
- Microsoft Visual Studio integration services projects o Microsoft Azure/Git
- CRM/dynamics 365
• Troubleshoot any system feature issues, and processes to ensure ongoing system operation.
• Participate in system analysis, system design, and requirements sessions as needed.
• Demonstrate technical understanding of data and technical database design for system development and solutioning.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience transitioning legacy systems into new technology
- Full software lifecycle experience from requirements through implementation and production support
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on with SQL server
- Demonstrate technical understanding of data and technical database design.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and other performance and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience in system and data mapping and conversion preferred.
- Any experience with COBOL, SAS, REXX, or .NET may be helpful.
- Experience using project SharePoint and/or MS OneDrive site for project artifacts.
- DevOps/JIRA experience is preferred.
