Position Summary
The Part Time Ticket Office Associate will be responsible for ticket sales and processing, data entry, and providing outstanding customer service with clear and concise communication to patrons. Associates will invest in learning about Strathmore events and operations and be prepared to answer questions and provide in depth information to patrons. This position reports to Strathmore’s Director of Patron Experience.
Position Summary Work Schedule
Daytime, evening, weekend, and occasional holiday hours based on business needs including working show-time events. There are no set guaranteed number of hours available.
Typical Examples Of The Position’s Responsibilities And Duties
Satisfactory completion of this job will include excellent attention to detail, anticipation of ticketing needs, exercising sound professional judgment, meeting financial goals, building and maintaining good working relationships with staff, board, and colleagues, keeping excellent records.
Competencies
Knowledge of Tessitura and past ticketing experience is preferred. Knowledge of basic accounting practices and computers. Patience, resourcefulness, customer service sensitivity and experience, and a sense of humor are encouraged.

Typical Examples Of The Position’s Responsibilities And Duties
- Sell and process tickets utilizing Strathmore’s ticketing system.
- Assist patrons with ticketing requests by phone and in person. Provide necessary information to make their decisions easy and transactions seamless.
- Process ticket transactions for events at Strathmore venues, including but not limited to the Music Center at Strathmore, The Mansion at Strathmore, Backyard Theater, and AMP Powered by Strathmore. This includes events by Strathmore partners such as the Baltimore Symphony and the National Philharmonic as well as rental events.
- Serve as sales or will call representative at Ticket Office Windows for events.
- Provide exemplary customer service answering questions regarding Strathmore venues, performances, events, classes, and activities.
- Share customer feedback and service issues with Strathmore supervisors so that action may be taken to rectify issues as needed.
- Envelope, alphabetize, and distribute Will Call tickets.
- Enter data and perform regular cleanup and maintenance of contact information and patron history in Tessitura.
- Settle monetary transactions using basic accounting principles.
- Other Ticket Office duties as assigned.
