JOB SUMMARY
The Superintendent leads, directs and coordinates the work of subcontractors. The Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work performed and adherence to budget of the project. The Superintendent has supervisory responsibility for Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor in his/her area of responsibility. This person must have a knowledge of High-rise construction, renovations, and has handled multi-million-dollar construction projects in the past. The applicant must have a minimum 10 years of project management experience in commercial construction to be considered.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
- Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
- Collaborate with clients, Project Managers, other construction management to determine budget and timeline
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers
- Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
- Hire additional subcontractors and assign work accordingly
- Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines
- Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
- Attend Project and Client meetings as assigned.
- Learn to use management and scheduling software effectively and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and signs of maintenance issues

- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships both internally with other team members, and externally to include the clients, vendors, subcontractors, and prospective clients.
- Systems and Software: Demonstrate ability to proficiently use management, scheduling, and Microsoft Office Google software platforms.
