Medical Science Liaison (MSL) & Trainer
Position Summary
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for medical devices serves as a scientific and clinical expert connecting the company with healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders. This role is responsible for providing medical and technical expertise on Stratpharma's products, supporting education and training, and driving scientific engagement to ensure safe and effective use of the devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Scientific Engagement
- Establish and maintain strong, credible relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and other stakeholders in the medical device field.
- Serve as the primary scientific resource for external stakeholders regarding the clinical application and evidence supporting the company’s devices.
- Education and Training
- Provide training to HCPs on the safe and effective use of the company’s devices through presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions.
- Collaborate with sales teams to deliver educational programs tailored to customer needs.
- Medical and Clinical Expertise
- Stay current with scientific literature, clinical guidelines, and emerging trends in the relevant medical fields.
- Support clinical trial recruitment, site selection, and ongoing communication with investigators.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, regulatory, R&D, and sales, to align on product strategies and support customer needs.
- Provide feedback from the field to the R&D and commercial teams to improve products and strategies.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory guidelines, ethical standards, and company policies.
- Document interactions and insights gained from field activities in CRM tools or other reporting systems.
Qualifications
- Education: Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, nursing, or a related field (e.g., MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent clinical experience).
- Experience:
- 3 years in a clinical, scientific, or medical role within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Previous experience as an MSL or in a customer-facing scientific role is preferred.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of medical device regulations and clinical applications.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex clinical and scientific data effectively.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel (50%-75%) for field visits, conferences, and training sessions.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
