The CAD/PLM Systems Administrator Lead will ensure Engineering, ALM, and PLM business requirements for various Engineering packages and related functions are translated into detailed business requirements, consider cross functional impacts, associated risks, cost benefit analysis, business justification, audit guidelines and global support requirements, project management, functional specifications, resource and capacity planning, risk assessment, testing, deployment, and documentation occurs timely and accurately as well as ensure Engineering process improvements in conjunction with an awareness of functional best practices, and partnering with the user community and business user leadership to drive future technology needs and the development of a technology roadmap at a global level
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the overall planning, execution, and delivery of projects, including Windchill PLM projects from Architectural and Technical perspective
- Utilize disciplined project management methodology to define scope, develop project plan, and execute projects that adhere to guidelines and deliver within cost and schedule
- Oversee the delivery schedule and timeline, resource planning, and risk management and mitigation
- Implement technical execution, integration, and delivery of corporate PLM solutions
- Transform business engineering requirements and challenges into solutions
- Work with ambiguous business problems to drive results using data driven decisions
- Conduct cross-business unit/IT communication
- Responsible for the overall design and architecture of modules and functions of the PLM strategy
- Utilize Windchill PLM, Integrity ALM, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Windchill Engineering (PDMLink), Windchill Project Management, BOM Management, Creo, NX, CATIA Integration, C , Java, Data Migration, ALM, and PLM consultation to perform duties
- Oversee Supplier Collaboration integration with PLM and all Supplier/Buyer related use business cases transformed into system integrations
- Understand the full lifecycle of Windchill PDMLink and ProjectLink (v10.x, 11.x) PLM projects from initiation to completion from Design, Technical, and Delivery
- Collaborate with Business champions and Technical Teams, as well as with external vendors and Technical Teams
- Administer PLM/ALM Integration with JBA System-21 and Nutech via IBM AS400
- Identify the PLM/ALM processes to assess gaps, and develop and implement action plans to address the gaps; and develop and implement robust project risk management plans to ensure timely delivery, testing, and commissioning of all projects without impact to business continuity
- Collaborate across internal associates as well as Onsite-Offshore technical resources
- Adhere to service level agreements with CAD users, and provide on-call technical support for these users; ensure SLA’s are measurable and attainable.
- Participate in the development, dissemination, and enforcement of CAD standards in regards to 2D/3D layering, dimensioning, text annotations, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), 3D modeling standards for downstream use and Data Exchange, and other aspects of CAD usage.
- Participate in the creation of and recommend strategies for document management as it relates to Product-focused support documentation, specifications, test results, CAD user outputs, including collection, revision, and archive.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated plans for CAD software administration, roadmap planning, and appropriate use.
- Analyze current CAD application usage and plan for growth or increases in software licensing and network capacity.
- Advise on modern end point device specifications and requirements (laptop, desktops, etc.)
- Evaluate new systems and products and introduce best practices
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of CAD software solutions.
- SUN, Solaris certifications desirable.
- Have a thorough understanding of technology trends and development
- Strong experience deploying and managing product lifecycle management, product data management, requirements management, and change control board
- Strong experience working with design teams, managing CAD libraries, managing bills of materials, and managing change communication
- Strong understanding of product design workflows
- Advanced knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management systems (Windchill or Teamcenter PLM preferred)
- Experience in managing globally distributed teams
- Experience communicating to a variety of audiences including direct staff, external partners and business leaders
- Effective Time and Project Management skills
