What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position at Stratton Lumber Inc?
Purpose: The Administrative Assistant provides support to all functions of the day-to-day office operations. The Administrative Assistant will be trained in a number of various roles, so that scheduling gaps can be covered. The Administrative Assistant is also an integral member of the Stratton Lumber safety team and will always adhere to safety protocols, while reporting conditions that may be of concern.
Part-time, Year-round
Mondays and Fridays, 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (up to 15 hours per week)
This position does not qualify for benefits.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Daily inspection of Scale House; interface with truck drivers for incoming and outgoing deliveries; keep scale house clean and stocked
· Assist scanning outgoing lumber truck loads
· Daily mail pick-up and sorting
· Filing of paid invoices, as well as logs & lumber invoices
· Cross-train in various positions to provide vacation coverage
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Proven reliability, confidentiality, positive attitude, team-player
· Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ability to learn new software
· Desire to safely work to enhance production processes
· Ability to follow established procedures and practices
· A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
· Very good communication skills
· Physically able to lift up to 15 lbs floor to waist; 5 lbs waist to shoulders; stand/sit, reach and bend.
· Satisfactory pre-employment physical exam and drug screening.
