Loader Operator
Starting Pay Rate: $20.01/hour ( $2/hr for nights)
Purpose: The Loader Operator always ensures efficient movement of materials and a safe yard environment for staff, truckers and contractors working in or passing through the yard. The Forklift Operator is an integral member of the Stratton Lumber safety team and will always adhere to safety protocols, while reporting conditions that may be of concern.
Position Reports to: Yard Manager
Position is Full-Time, Year-Round
5:00 pm to 4:30 am (nights), Mon - Thur
44 hours per week
Responsibilities
· Continual keen awareness of surroundings in a fast-paced environment to prevent any potential accidents with other equipment, vehicles or pedestrians.
· Safely and efficiently move lumber from various locations in the yard to others.
· Complete daily Inspection Sheet of equipment, prior to operation. Report any equipment issues.
· Observe and follow all safety protocols at all times. Assist as part of a team to keep the mill yard a safe and clean environment at all times.

Requirements
· Proven reliability
· Ability to follow established procedures and practices
· A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
· Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, twist, reach, climb and bend.
