POSITION SUMMARY
The Banquet Setup Team Member is responsible for the setup and breakdown of banquet events, indoors and outdoors. This role is an integral part of the catering team and will ensure that spaces are set and ready for service according to the event order/floor plans, while retrieving and returning items to designated storage. This is an occasional position, compensated at $20.00 - $25.00/hour based on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Banquet Setup Team Member is responsible for the setup and breakdown of banquet events, indoors and outdoors. This role is an integral part of the catering team and will ensure that spaces are set and ready for service according to the event order/floor plans, while retrieving and returning items to designated storage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain effective and clear communication through all Food and Beverage areas
- Consistently display a positive attitude and have ability to multi-task
- Execute the function room set-up as related to the placement of tables and chairs, linens, water and food service and any audio/visual equipment per the Event Order details
- Responsible for gathering all event supplies required for service for assigned functions
- Support the Banquet Supervisor in distributing, delivering and retrieving all supplies pre and post event to ensure optimal organization and setting up teams for success in all locations
- Ensure facility cleanliness standards are consistently maintained including event spaces, storage spaces, etc.
- Build banquet bars and relocate portable bars as necessary
- Coordinate function clean up and breakdown with Banquet Supervisor/Captain
- Additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Actively pursuing a High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years working in a food and beverage and/or catering environment
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Exceptional communication skills and team building abilities
- Highly motivated, resourceful, detail oriented, enthusiastic, outgoing and reliable
- Must have clean motor vehicle record and comply with Stratton issued background check for company vehicle authorization
- Must be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisions
- Knowledge of Vermont Health Codes, a plus
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position will be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds on a regular and continuing basis
- This position will require the ability to work in various locations on the resort
