POSITION SUMMARY

As a Carpenter, you will perform general carpentry tasks, including constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining various structures and furniture. You will operate related power and hand tools effectively. This full-time, year-round position offers a competitive pay rate of $25.00 - $30.00 / hr, based on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Construct and install door and window framing; install locks, doorknobs, and other hardware

Repair and maintain doors, floors, windows, partitions, ceilings, and building exteriors

Construct, repair, and refinish wood furniture and fixtures including cabinets, tables, shelving, and bulletin boards

Maintain carpentry tools in optimal condition

Erect, maintain, and dismantle walls and structures

Respond promptly and efficiently to resort work order requests and emergencies

Keep accurate service and repair records

Research, purchase, and manage inventory of tools and supplies

Train and guide other staff as needed

Support department standards and policies

Perform additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education :

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Technical Diploma, associate degree, or two years of college coursework preferred

Experience : 2 to 4 years in carpentry or a related field

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

Fundamental carpentry skills, including interpreting sketches and using hand and power tools

Knowledge of Vermont Building Code and safety practices

Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively, both written and verbal

Willingness to complete required trainings

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS :

A vehicle is provided for travel within the mountain. A valid driver's license is required, along with a successful Motor Vehicle background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This role may require work during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

To excel in this position, individuals must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
