Position: Maintenance Technician I
Location: Sandyplace Apartment Homes, 38100 Sandy Heights Street, Sandy, OR 97055
Schedule: Full-time position (32 hrs/wk), Thursday through Sunday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. This position is also eligible to earn monthly bonuses.
Classification: Non-exempt position, eligible for overtime pay

Sandyplace Apartment Homes is a market-rate community featuring 138 well-appointed units in the heart of Sandy, Oregon, with a 96% average occupancy. Residents enjoy a full suite of amenities designed to enhance comfort and convenience, including a sparkling pool and spa, fitness center, clubhouse and community lounge, athletic court, picnic and play area, and beautifully landscaped grounds. As a Maintenance Technician I, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining these features and ensuring a safe, high-quality living experience for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, including the leasing office, clubhouse, restrooms, model apartments, and laundry rooms
- Conduct snow and ice removal and ensure safety across property grounds
- Perform routine landscaping duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning
- Monitor property cleanliness daily and report maintenance needs
- Operate tools and equipment such as power mowers, blowers, weed eaters, drills, and paint sprayers
- Document all work in accordance with company guidelines and timelines
- Participate in safety meetings and complete required trainings on time
- Assist with property inspections, pool upkeep, and community event support

Job Requirements
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year in a Porter position or equivalent maintenance technician experience preferred
- Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs
- Pool maintenance experience is preferred, including basic knowledge of filters, pumps, and water testing
- Janitorial experience preferred
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of insurance required
- Ability to operate a vehicle and transport tools safely
- Must provide own inclement weather gear
