Lead Accountant – Stratum Central Office

Location: 27375 SW Parkway Ave., Wilsonville, OR 97070

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm

Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000 annually

Classification: Exempt, not eligible for overtime pay

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations.
• Lead and support Accountants and Accounting Assistants in meeting financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Oversee financial reporting including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and all applicable regulations.
• Analyze financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Coordinate internal audit processes and support tax and compliance reporting.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Optimize accounting software systems (Yardi preferred) and integrate workflows.

Job Requirements

• Property management accounting experience is required
• Hands-on Yardi experience is highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Job Conditions

• This position is based at Stratum’s Central Office in Wilsonville, Oregon. The Lead Accountant is required to perform all duties on-site and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
• Standard office environment with occasional travel for training or meetings.
• Must be able to work extended hours during peak financial reporting periods.
• Regular use of computers, office equipment, and financial reporting tools.
