Responsibilities
- Assists the painter in mixing paint to match required color specifications.
- Prepares surfaces to be painted.
- Assists in operating and/or attending to painting machines and/or painting booths.
- Disposes of waste in accordance with environmental regulations and company policy.
- Demonstrates flexibility in work hours to include availability for overtime hours as required by management.
- Attends all necessary meetings and training as required by management.
- Provides care and security to all company resources.
- Performs necessary housekeeping activities, including but not limited to: picking up all debris that results in production activities, proper storage of all materials and equipment when not in use, disposal of all other materials which may be offensive or hazardous.
Qualifications
- Must have 2 years of experience painting fabricated metals.
- Able to operate basic hand tools and painting devices and to read blueprints.
- Proficient with standard measurements.
- Adequate math skills as they relate to the use of various measuring devices such as tape measures, squares, etc.
