Job Summary:
The Land Surveyor will be responsible for conducting and overseeing a variety of surveying projects, including ALTA boundary surveys, topographic and engineering surveys, and construction staking. This role requires proficiency in LIDAR and GIS applications and involves supervising two direct reports. The candidate must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina licensure.
Primary Essential Functions:
- Perform ALTA boundary surveys, topographic engineering surveys, and construction staking.
- Utilize LIDAR and GIS applications for data collection and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal surveying regulations.
- Oversee and mentor two direct reports, providing technical guidance and support.
- Prepare and review survey maps, plats, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to support design and construction needs.
- Utilize surveying equipment and software to collect and process field data.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in land surveying.
- Must hold or be able to acquire a North Carolina surveyor’s license.
- Proficiency in ALTA boundary surveys, topographic engineering surveys, and construction staking.
- Experience with LIDAR and GIS applications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience supervising staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in surveying data and reports.
