Primary Essential Functions:
- Perform soil evaluations for onsite wastewater system design and permitting.
- Ensure compliance with North Carolina onsite wastewater rules.
- Utilize GPS and GIS systems, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, for soil mapping and analysis.
- Provide expertise on wetland soils and consult with wetlands staff on complex cases.
- Prepare technical reports and soil assessments for regulatory approval.
- Work in both field and office settings to support project needs.
- Supervise and mentor one direct report.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Soil Scientist with 5-7 years of experience.
- Proficiency in soil evaluations for wastewater systems and regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina onsite wastewater rules and system designs.
