Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and repair operations for our car wash and 24/7 convenience stores facilities. The ideal candidate will manage a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring the efficient operation, cleanliness, and safety of all equipment and facilities. The Maintenance Supervisor will work to minimize downtime, reduce operational costs, and maintain high standards of facility quality.
Supervisory Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Hiring and training maintenance department staff
- Organizing and overseeing the schedules and work of maintenance staff
- Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Handling discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
- Evaluating and inspecting systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed
- Assessing building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
- Developing maintenance procedures and schedules
- Ordering, Sourcing, and Maintaining Inventory of Parts, and Tools for maintenance repairs
- Ensuring maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Assisting and reporting with departmental budget estimates and costs of specific repair projects
- Responding to emergency repairs for business continuity
- Required travel time
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity and knowledge of car wash tunnel repairs
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed
- Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Clean DMV record Class C
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five years of maintenance experience required
- Certification for Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM), and/or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) and/or HVAC/R and/or HVAC Certification (NATE) preferred but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to perform repairs
- Position may have instances of prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds at a time
